Tiffin, Ohio – June 22, 2011 - Seth Robertson (Burton, Ohio/Sunbury), a graduated senior, has been named to the Capital One Track & Field College Division Academic All-America Third Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Robertson is the fourth individual in Heidelberg University men’s track & field program history to be named to the academic all-America list.
Joseph Conduah was named to the first team, along with Seth Hothem on the second team in 2000. Jason Maus picked up second team honors in 2002 for men’s track and cross country.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Robertson, an accounting and computer information systems double major, made the list with a 3.86 GPA.
This honor adds to the Capital One Cross Country / Track and Field College Division Academic All-District IV First Team and the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Team honors Robertson earned this season. It also comes on the heels of earning All-American honors in the 4x400-meter relay at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship. In his final season on the indoor and outdoor track, he earned All-OAC honors in the 400m dash and the 4x400m relay. He helped to lead the outdoor 4x400m relay team to the conference championship.
