Brubeck Named Wrestler of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Robbie Brubeck (Findlay, Ohio / Findlay) its Wrestler of the Week for the week of December 3. Brubeck is a senior heavyweight on Heidelberg College’s wrestling team. Brubeck went 6-0 in competition last week, and is 8-0 on the year.

Brubeck received a forfeit against Heidelberg’s OAC dual match opener at Mount Union (11/27), and placed first at the Messiah-Petrofes Invitational in Gratham, Pa. He had to defeat five opponents to reach the top spot, including his nationally-ranked teammate, Ryan Bowers (Lima, Ohio / Elida) in the finals 4-2.

No. 4 Heidelberg wrestles its home-opener this Friday, December 7 against no. 9 Olivet. The event will be held in Seiberling Gymnasium, with the starting time set for 7:30 p.m. Admission is free to the public.
