Richmond, Va. - January 21, 2010 - First-year Heidelberg University softball assistant coach and Hofstra Alum Pam Dreslinski has been named to the Colonial Athletic Association Softball Silver Anniversary team.
The squad includes seven former CAA Players of the Year and four former CAA Pitchers of the Year. As part of its 25th Anniversary celebration in 2009-10, the CAA is recognizing Silver Anniversary teams in 21 championship sports. The teams were selected by a panel of current and former coaches in the conference.
The CAA is a NCAA Division I college athletic conference. Along with Hofstra, its members includes University of Delaware, Drexel University, George Mason University, Georgia State University, James Madison University, Northeastern University, Old Dominion University, Towson University, University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the College of William & Mary.
During her time at Hofstra University, Dreslinski was a First Team All-Mid Atlantic selection in 2008 and was a four-time CAA honoree. In the classroom, Dreslinski was equally impressive, earning NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete accolades every year and as also voted to the academic all-district team. In 2007, she was named the CAA’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
