TIFFIN, Ohio—The ninth-ranked (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Heidelberg University volleyball team will eagerly await the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament Selection Show, featured this morning on NCAA.com, to learn its regional placement for the upcoming 2011 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament.
The NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament Selection Show will air at 11 a.m.
The Berg (31-6, 9-0 OAC) earned the Ohio Athletic Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament by winning the conference regular season championship and advancing to the finals of the OAC tournament. The regular season championship was the third consecutive for the Berg. Heidelberg lost to the University of Mount Union, 3-2, in a thrilling tournament championship match on Saturday.
Under the direction of 12th-year head coach Jason Miller, Heidelberg is making its fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament and looking to advance past the second round for the first time in school history.
