Berg Volleyball Loses Second Straight in Five Sets

ADA, Ohio -- For the second straight match, Heidelberg Volleyball went toe-to-toe with a conference rival, only to fall in five sets.  The Student Princes lost to Ohio Northern University, 25-14, 28-26, 21-25, 20-25, 15-11. 

Four Heidelberg student-athletes finished with 10 or more kills, led by senior Marian Bevington (Celina/Parkway) with 14.  Freshman Jamie Kluding (Norwalk/Monroeville) finished with 10 kills and 13 digs, her fourth double-double of the season.

Junior Amber Welfle (Norwalk/St. Paul) finished with 16 kills and senior Jacki Street (Grafton/Midview) had 13 kills. 

Setter Rachel Ferguson (Brighton, MI) had 37 assists and Tessa Benanzer (Ft. Loramie) had 28 digs in the loss. 

Heidelberg had a season-high 35 attack errors and attacked .180 as a team. 

The team will look to get back on the winning track over the weeked at the Wid Guisler Invitational in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, hosted by Juniata.
