Austintown, Ohio – February 28, 2011 – Senior forward Jenny Miller (Tiffin, Ohio / Clyde) of the Heidelberg University women’s basketball team earned a spot on the 2011 Ohio Athletic Conference Honorable Mention list. It marks her second postseason award of her career. A year ago, she earned the same honor.
This season, Miller led the Berg in scoring for the second year in the row with 14.1 points a game, which stood sixth in the conference. She led the defense with 39 steals, while hauling in a team-best 8.2 rebounds an outing, which stood fourth in the OAC. Her 40 blocks topped the team and the league. Miller etched her name in the Heidelberg history books as she became the 13th player in the history of the women’s program to eclipse 1,000 career points.
Heidelberg, under the guidance of third-year head coach Marcie Alberts, finished the year at 1-24 overall and 0-18 in the OAC.
