Harrigan Picks Up Season's First OAC Player of the Week Honor

Senior guard Morgan Harrigan (Urbana, Ohio / Urbana) of the Heidelberg College women’s basketball team was tabbed the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 17, 2008. Harrigan is the first to receive the honor on the 2008-09 season.
 
Harrigan averaged 13.5 points and 4.0 rebounds at the Adrian College Tip-Off Classic to open the season. Harrigan also added four assists and two steals in two games.
 
Highlighting the weekend was a game-high 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, including a 5-for-10 day behind the arc. Harrigan’s explosive three-point shooting led to a 63-59 win over host Adrian on Saturday.
 
Harrigan returned on Sunday and scored eight points in an 82-61 setback to Notre Dame College (OH).
 
Heidelberg, under the guidance of first-year head coach Marcie Alberts, continues a four-game road trip to open the season at Transylvania University on Friday and Saturday. The Berg faces Transylvania at 8:00 p.m. Nov. 21.
