Heidelberg Falls to Wilmington

The Heidelberg College women’s basketball team suffered a 72-42 setback to Wilmington College in its 2008-2009 Ohio Athletic Conference season opener. After playing five of their six games on the road, Heidelberg’s record drops to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the OAC, while Wilmington remains undefeated at 5-0 and 1-0 in the conference.
 
Freshman Lyndsey DaValut (Orrville, Ohio / Orrville) led the Berg offensively with a career-high 10 points off the bench. Jenny Miller (Tiffin, Ohio / Clyde) also contributed seven points for Heidelberg. Stacey Barker (Grove City, Ohio / Grove City) and Ashley Hawley (Sullivan, Ohio / Black River) snagged five rebounds a piece.

Heidelberg steps back on the home court for just the second time this season on Wednesday, Dec. 10 to challenge Ohio Northern at 7:00 p.m. in Seiberling Gymnasium.
