Our goal is to raise each player’s current basketball understanding and ability to the next level. Our program will provide you with the basic fundamental skills, training and tools that will enhance your ability in competition. We have fun and work hard while improving our game.

Icebox Athlete
Icebox Athlete is a premier provider of mental skills and toughness training programs, in addition to explosive speed, agility and quickness training programs that numerous state and national championship teams and athletes have used with distinction, including championship programs at the University of Kansas, the University of Illinois, the University of Louisiana, and Rutgers University. Camp Director – Marcie Alberts
Coach Alberts is entering her fifth season as the head coach at Heidelberg University after spending seven years as the head coach at Orrville High School, winning three district championships. Coach Alberts was a graduate assistant at the University of Toledo, where she helped lead the Lady Rockets to a MAC Championship in 2001. She also played in the WNBA as a member of the Cleveland Rockers in 1997. In college, she was the point guard for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 1993-1997. Coach Alberts has a wealth of basketball knowledge and has been directing camps since she was 18 years old.

Assistant Director – Morgan Shriver
Coach Shriver joined the Heidelberg women’s basketball coaching staff in 2011-12 following a successful playing career from 2005-09. Coach Shriver will focus on guard play.

Assistant Director – Kayla Gordon
Coach Gordon enters her first season as graduate assistant coach with the Heidelberg women’s basketball team in 2011-12 and will work primarily with the post position. She was a four-year All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection in basketball and led the team to the NCAC tournament championship season during her sophomore year of 2008-09 and second place finishes in her junior and senior seasons.

Assistant Director – Mason Alberts
Coach Alberts is entering his fifth season as an assistant at Heidelberg. Prior to coming to Heidelberg, he was the head coach at Wayne College. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford, he has over 16 years of camp experience.

Registration/check-in
Held between 5:30-7:00 pm (Sunday) in the residence hall

Check-out/departure
Room inspection and key turn-in at 4:00 p.m. (on Wednesday). Parents may pick up their daughter at this time at the residence hall.

Campus Facilities
Meals will be served at the campus dining hall, Hoernemann Refectory, buffet style. The first meal will be Monday morning at 7:30 and the last meal will be served at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The athletic training room and campus health center are available. Mercy Hospital of Tiffin is five minutes from campus. Each camper is covered by accident insurance. There is a swimming pool located at local YMCA within walking distance (shuttle will be provided if needed).

Equipment needed
A packing list will be mailed to all campers upon registering for camp. Room assignments There must be a mutual consent when requesting a
roommate. There is a two-person limit per room.
