TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University women’s golf team stands in seventh place among eight teams after the first day of the Heidelberg Fall Invitational. The Berg tallied 420 strokes at the par-72 and 5,805-yard course at Mohawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin.
Leading the way was sophomore Heather Lentz (Sandusky/Perkins), whose 101 strokes stand 22nd overall among 43 competitors. Behind Lentz stands freshman Destiny Miller (Dublin/Coffman), who carded a 104 to sit in 26th and freshman Felicia Konrad (North Baltimore) in 27th with 105.
Local freshman Rachel Huth (Tiffin/Fostoria Hopewell-Loudon) (110) and senior Brittany Greenbaum (Milford Center/Fairbanks) (156) rounded out the starting five.
Baldwin-Wallace College leads the tournament after one day of action with 336 strokes.
The Heidelberg Fall Invitational will conclude tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
