Tiffin, Ohio – October 2, 2010 – The Heidelberg University women’s golf team concluded the two-day ‘Berg Fall Classic today. It was hosted at the Mohawk Golf and Country Club.
Heidelberg scored 922 in two rounds on the course.
Earning first place was Ohio Northern University with a score of 680. Following was Otterbein University (699) and John Carroll University (774).
Freshman Claire Meneer (Fairlawn, Ohio / Copley) led Heidelberg with a 200 (104, 99).
Classmate Heather Lentz (Sandusky, Ohio / Perkins) scored a 209 (104, 105), while sophomore Aileen Sayre (Sylvania, Ohio / Sylvania Northview) improved nine strokes in day two and shot 233 (121, 112).
Also scoring for the Berg were sophomores Brittany Greenbaum (Milford Center, Ohio / Fairbanks) (133) in the first round and Kayla Percy (Cincinnati, Ohio / Saint Ursula) with a 147 second round score.
