Entering his second season as head wrestling coach at Heidelberg University, Ned Shuck brings experience and enthusiasm to the wrestling program which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
A native of Mapleton, Minnesota, Shuck was a four-time varsity letter winner at the University of Iowa.
Following his career with the Hawkeyes, Shuck embarked on a coaching journey which began at Chaska High School in Minnesota. After four seasons with the Hawks, Shuck was an assistant with Augsburg College for two seasons before coming to Heidelberg. Throughout his coaching career, Shuck has also assisted with cadet freestyle wrestling.
Shuck is active with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and other community service projects throughout Tiffin. He enjoys the outdoors, playing guitar and spending time with his family.
Shuck lives in Tiffin with his wife Jennifer and their son, Lukas.
