Ada, Ohio - February 15, 2011 - The Heidelberg University wrestling team dropped a 40-3 decision to Ohio Northern University in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual in Ada, Ohio this evening. ONU entered the match ranked 14th in the nation in the latest Brute / Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association poll and improve to 13-3 overall and 5-1 in the OAC, while the Berg falls to 9-10-2, 2-3.
Junior Jerry Knapp (Olmsted Falls, Ohio / Olmsted Falls) closed out the evening with the lone Heidelberg victory. Knapp recorded a 6-1 decision over Justin Southwick at 285 pounds.
Heidelberg concludes its OAC schedule on Friday when it travels to John Carroll University for a 7:30 p.m. dual. After a week off the Berg will look to defend its five consecutive OAC Tournament titles Feb. 26. ONU is set to host the OAC Tournament.
