‘Berg Grapplers Step Back Into OAC Slate

TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University wrestling team will step back into Ohio Athletic Conference action Tuesday, Jan. 31 when it faces Muskingum University in a dual match in New Concord, Ohio at 7:30 p.m. The match is the first of four consecutive OAC matches to close the regular season.

The Student Princes (2-6, 0-1 OAC) were paced at last weekend’s Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational by junior 197-pounder Andy Lovins (Clinton Township, Mich./Lake Shore) and senior heavyweight Jerry Knapp (Columbia Station/Olmsted Falls), who took home sixth and seventh-place finishes, respectively.

Heidelberg has not wrestled in an OAC match since falling to John Carroll University on Jan. 10.

Following the Berg’s visit to New Concord, it will face the University of Mount Union next Tuesday before wrapping up OAC action by hosting Baldwin-Wallace College on Feb. 14 and Ohio Northern University on Feb. 17.

Heidelberg will also serve as the host institution for the 2012 OAC Championship on Feb. 25.
