ALLIANCE, Ohio—Junior 197-pounder Andy Lovins (Clinton Township, Mich./Lake Shore) recorded the Heidelberg University wrestling team’s lone victory of the evening as the Student Princes fell to Ohio Athletic Conference foe the University of Mount Union, 34-6, in a dual match in Alliance, Ohio.
Mount Union won the first seven bouts of the match on its way to a 25-0 lead.
Lovins needed just 4:24 to pin Darin Lyles to avoid the shutout.
Just two OAC duals remain on the schedule, at home against Baldwin-Wallace College (Feb. 14) and Ohio Northern University (Feb. 17) before Heidelberg hosts the 2012 OAC Wrestling Championship on Feb. 25.
