TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University wrestling team will look for its sixth Ohio Athletic Conference crown Saturday, Feb. 25 when it hosts the 2012 OAC Championship at Seiberling Gymnasium in Tiffin, Ohio. The tournament is slated to start at 10 a.m.

The Student Princes (4-8, 2-3 OAC), under the guidance of first-year head coach Ned Shuck, finished the regular season in fourth place in the conference standings, behind regular season champion Ohio Northern University (12-4, 5-0 OAC), the University of Mount Union (10-4, 4-1 OAC) and John Carroll University (6-5, 3-2 OAC). Muskingum University (2-9, 1-4 OAC) and Baldwin-Wallace College (1-6, 0-5 OAC) rounded out the order.
In a preseason poll taken by the coaches, Mount Union was picked to win the team title at the OAC championship, followed by ONU, Heidelberg, JCU and B-W and Muskingum in a tie for fifth.
The individual champion in each weight class will earn a berth in the 2012 NCAA Wrestling Championship in Wisconsin – La Crosse.
