Tiffin, Ohio – January, 12 2011 – Two members of the Heidelberg University women’s soccer team have been voted on the 2010 Onslow Classic Soccer Association NCAA Division III Women's All-Ohio Team. Freshman forward Kelsey Hogan (Cincinnati, Ohio / Mariemont) earned a spot on the second team, while sophomore defender Michelle Gross (Centerville, Ohio / Centerville) landed on the third team.
This marks Hogan’s second postseason honor. She was also tabbed on the All-OAC Second Team. Hogan made an immediate impact on field in her rookie campaign. She led the team with 22 points courtesy of ten goals and two assists, while starting in every game for the Berg. She also led in shots (77) and shots on goal (28).
Earning All-Ohio honors for the second year in a row is Gross. Gross was the mainstay on Heidelberg’s defense throughout the season which totaled five shut outs. She is picking up her second postseason hardware of the season as she was named to the All-OAC Honorable Mention Team.
The 2010 season showed promise for the Berg's future. Heidelberg’s nine wins marks the most under fifth-year head coach Nick Spell since he took over in 2006.
