Berea, Ohio – October 12, 2010 – The Heidelberg University women’s soccer team was defeated by Ohio Athletic Conference foe Baldwin-Wallace College with a score of 4-0.
The Berg drops to 8-6 overall, 1-3 in the OAC, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 6-7-2, 1-2-1 in league play.
Baldwin-Wallace scored the first point of the game when Heather Keller earned her sixth goal of the season in the 27th minute.
In the second half, the Yellow Jackets continued to roll with three more scores in the 50th, 73rd, and 87th minute.
Earning a shot on goal for Heidelberg were junior Cori-Ann Brown (Columbus, Ohio / Olentangy), freshman Aleysea Evans (Troy, Ohio / Troy), sophomore Krista Blake (Geneva, Ohio / Geneva), sophomore Makenzie Dunford (Ontario, Canada / Orangeville District Section), and senior Katie Klein (Milford, Ohio / Milford).
Goalies sophomores Molly Schriber (Sidney, Ohio / Sidney) and Carrie Moran (Lakewood, Ohio / Lakewood) accumulated eight saves on the night.
Heidelberg looks to get back in the win column as it hosts the University Mount Union on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m.
