Westerville, Ohio – October 5, 2010 – The Heidelberg University women’s soccer team lost to the nationally ranked Otterbein University 4-0.
The Berg Drops to 7-5 overall, 0-2 in the OAC, while the Lady Cardinals improve to 9-0-1, 2-0 against leagues foes.
Otterbein’s Tara Smith was the first to score in the sixth minute with a header from a cross off a corner kick.
Adding two more before halftime were Adrienne Novak and Chelsea DeLay in the 24th and 43rd minute, respectively. Molly Kroger added one more score in the 70th.
Heidelberg’s sophomore goalie keeper Carrie Moran (Lakewood, Ohio / Lakewood) accumulated a career-high seven saves on the night.
The Berg looks to get back in the win column as it travels to Muskingum University on Friday, Oct. 8 at 2:00 p.m.
