TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University women’s soccer team will face Indiana Tech tonight at Mayer Field at 7 p.m. in a makeup game, originally scheduled for Wednesday (Sept. 21) evening, but postponed due to heavy rains.
The Berg enters the match 3-3 overall and riding momentum of a 4-1 win over The College of Mount St. Joseph last Friday. In that match, sophomore midfielder Kelsey Hogan (Cincinnati/Mariemont) recorded her second career hat trick and added an assist to lead the Berg over the Lions. All three of Hogan’s goals were unassisted and came during the first half.
Junior Molly Schriber (Sidney) and sophomore Brittany Labry (Aurora/Twinsburg) will likely split time in goal. Schriber has made 14 saves and allowed just three goals in 225 minutes of action, while Labry has recorded 12 stops and allowed six goals in 180 minutes in the net.
Indiana Tech is led by Manuela Cabal, who has scored a team-high five goals this season. Goalie Jordan Roell has allowed five scores in as many games for the Lady Warriors.
Following its match against Indiana Tech, the Berg will travel to Gambier, Ohio for a 1 p.m. tilt with Kenyon College on Saturday, Sept. 24.
