GAMBIER, Ohio—Junior Molly Schriber (Sidney) recorded a season-high 13 saves, but the Heidelberg University women’s soccer team lost to Kenyon College today, 4-0, in a non-conference match at Mavec Field in Gambier, Ohio. The effort was Schriber’s second straight match recording a season-high in saves.
The win improves Kenyon to 6-2-0, while the loss drops the Berg to 3-5-0.
Heidelberg tallied eight shots, including three on goal. Senior midfielder Kristen Schneider (Evendale/Mount Notre Dame) accounted for two of ‘Berg’s looks at the net.
Caddie Durrett led Kenyon with a hat trick.
Schriber played all 90 minutes in goal, and upped her season total to a team-high 36 saves.
Heidelberg next hosts Hiram College on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Mayer Field at 7 p.m. in its final non-conference tune-up before visiting Ohio Athletic Conference foe Capital University next Saturday.
