TIFFIN, Ohio—Heidelberg University senior midfielders Jenn Pfau (Lewis Center/Olentangy) and Kristen Schneider (Evendale/Mount Notre Dame) were named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference women’s soccer team, announced today by the league office. Academic All-OAC student-athletes must have maintained a 3.25 grade-point-average, be a sophomore academically and in his/her second year of eligibility, and have been a starter or key reserve.
Pfau, a business administration major who carries a 3.86 GPA, scored one goal this season and landed six-of-12 shots she took on goal. She finished her career with two goals and two assists for a total of six points.
Schneider, also a business administration major who carries a 3.76 GPA, was third on the team with two goals and five points in 2011 and landed 10-of-22 shots on frame. Schneider, an Academic All-OAC honorable mention pick a season ago, ended her career with 32 points on 13 goals and six assists.
Heidelberg finished the 2011 season 6-11-1 overall and 3-6 in the OAC, narrowly missing the sixth seed for the OAC tournament.
