Women's Soccer Hosts Shoot for the Cure 2012

When the women's soccer team hosts Capital at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, the traditional colors of Heidelberg -- red, orange and black -- will take a backseat to a different color.

Pink.

Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team will host their annual Shoot for the Cure game.  A number of special events are planned for the event.

The team is selling several items to raise money for breast cancer. Some of the items include t-shirts, buttons, pins, and few notepads.

Shoot on a Faculty Member for $1:

During half time, anyone can have the opportunity to shoot on one of our Heidelberg faculty members for $1!

50/50 Raffle
There will be a 50/50 raffle during the first half. Tickets will only be sold during the first half of the game and the winner will be announced during half time. Ticket prices for this raffle are: 1 ticket for $1, 6 tickets for $5, or an arm's length of tickets for $10.

Raffle with Prizes
There are many prizes that local businesses have donated for this raffle – prizes range from t-shirts to gift cards. How this works is, raffle tickets are priced the same as they are for the 50/50. You can then drop your tickets into whichever bags correlate with the prize, or prizes, that you are hoping to win! Each item’s winner will be drawn just before the end of the game, and all winners will be announced following the end of the game.

Donations

There is a tub available at the table to simply give a donation – every bit helps and we really appreciate the support!

Change-4-Change

After a goal is scored, for either team, there will be a pink bucket being passed around. This pink bucket is for any lose change that you may have in your pockets! It is a way to celebrate the goal and to help a good cause!

All proceeds from the game will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
