Quakers Top the Berg 1-0

The Wilmington College Quakers out shot the Heidelberg College women’s soccer team 29 to four, but due to some missed opportunities and a strong day at the net for Heidelberg goalie Lauren Sweeney (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria Catholic) they only managed to score one goal in the 15th minute.

Wilmington’s Kristen Elam made the lone unassisted goal for the Quakers, shooting straight on into the lower portion of the box.

Katelyn McBeath (Indianapolis, Ind. / Bishop Chatard) led the offense for the Berg, recording three shots goal, while Ashley Klaco (London, Ohio / Bishop Ready) posted the only other shot for Heidelberg.

The women play again Tuesday, Oct. 9 in Berea, Ohio against Baldwin-Wallace.
