The Berg Drops OAC Contest to Capital, 7-0
The Heidelberg College women’s soccer team gave up four first-half goals and could not recover in a 7-0 Ohio Athletic Conference setback to visiting Capital University. The loss drops the Berg to 3-11 overall and 1-4 in league action, while Capital improves to 9-4-1 overall and 4-1 in the OAC.
Capital scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 11th minute courtesy of Abby Skoda. For the game, Capital out shot the Berg 16-6 and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Suffering the setback in goal was Lauren Sweeeny (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria Catholic). Swenney played the entire contest, finishing with nine saves.
