Heidelberg Falls to Ohio Northern

The ’Berg was unable to find the back of the net during the Ohio Athletic Conference match against Ohio Northern University and lost to the Polar Bears 1-0. Heidelberg drops to 4-9-3
overall, 0-5-1 in the conference, while Ohio Northern improves their record to 11-4-1 overall and 5-1 in the OAC.

Ohio Northern’s Jamie Eiben scored the lone goal of the match at the 17:27 mark. After Kaitlin Sander’s corner kick, Eiben was able to place the ball in the left corner to score her fifth goal of the season.

The Berg’s Lauren Sweeney (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria Catholic) snatched up 12 saves during the game. Sweeney now sits at the top of the conference with 126 saves.

Heidelberg travels to New Concord, Ohio on Saturday, October 25 to challenge Muskingum in a 2:00 p.m. game.
