‘Berg Drops Physical Match to Otterbein

Tiffin, Ohio – October 17, 2009 – The Heidelberg University women’s soccer team was defeated by Otterbein College with a score of 2-0. Heidelberg drops to 5-9-1, 2-3 OAC, while the Lady Cards improve to 13-1, 5-0 in the OAC. 
 
Otterbein’s Adrienne Novak was the first to score as she snuck a ball past Heidelberg’s goal keeper Lauren Sweeney (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria Catholic) in the 9th minute, to take the 1-0 lead. This would mark the eventual game-winning goal.
 
Insurance came for the Lady Cards when in the 85th minute, Becky Bowser received a cross from Carly Dent which then Bowser placed the ball in the far post making the score 2-0.
 
Heidelberg’s Shara Perry (Hilliard, Ohio / Hilliard Davidson) led the team with a shot on the day.
 
Molly Schriber (Sidney, Ohio / Sidney) had a team-high five saves for the game.
 
Heidelberg returns to action when they travel to Ohio Northern University, Wednesday October 21, at 4:00 p.m.
