Thoms and the Berg Earn Two More Wins

Dana Thoms’ (Amherest, Ohio / Firelands) performance on the mound led the way for the Heidelberg University softball team in a doubleheader sweep over host Oberlin College today, March 20. The Berg won 12-1 in five innings in game one and 12-4 in game two.
 
Heidelberg now stands at 12-2 overall, while Oberlin falls to 0-8 on the year. The Berg, under the guidance of second-year head coach Betsy Hada, is off to the best start in the history of the program.
 
Thoms was the winning pitcher in both games, improving her record to 8-1. In game one, Thoms pitched a three-hitter, while only giving up one run. ... Complete Story
