Two-Time All-Region Shortstop Jennifer Carroll Added To Softball Coaching Staff

Third-year head coach Wendy Rochon of the Heidelberg College softball team has named Jennifer Carroll as an assistant coach. Carroll played softball at Marietta College where she was a two-time All-Central Region shortstop.

With the addition of Carroll, Rochon’s coaching staff is complete for the year. “I'm excited to have Jenny as part of our coaching staff.  She is coming from a well respected program at Marietta and will be a great addition.  I look forward to our programs growth with Jenny as our assistant and seeing the talent and abilities she possess translate to our players at the Berg,” Rochon stated.

Carroll, a 2007 MC graduate, was a three year captain and earned Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll academic honors.  She was also a three-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete, and currently holds the records for most games played in a season, career games played, career hits, consecutive games with a hit, and most home runs, in both a season and a single game, at Marietta.  Carroll was named to both the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team and the All-Academic OAC Team twice, and earned a spot on the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team in 2007.

Carroll is a native of Lisbon, Ohio and attended Beaver Local High School where she earned all-region and all-county honors.
