The Scots defeated the Berg, 5-4 in a closely contested match at the D.J. Hard Tennis Courts. Despite the loss, the Berg improved drastically from their 9-0 defeat a year ago.
Heidelberg’s number one racket-swinger, Deidre Potter (Chillicothe), lost her singles match to the Scot’s number one women, 6-1, 6-0. Potter teamed up with sophomore Katie Strahan (West Chester/Lakota East), who dropped her single match, 6-3, 6-2, for doubles action. The Berg’s top duo fell, 8-3 to the Scots.
Prior to her doubles loss, Strahan downed her singles opponent, 6-3, 6-2.
