Tiffin, Ohio – March 27, 2010 – Junior Jackquelyn Earl (Crestline, Ohio / Crestline) of the Heidelberg University women’s tennis team won her third straight outing to score the lone point for the Berg in an 8-1 setback to Mount Union College. The Purple Raiders improve to 8-2 overall and 1-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Berg stands at 3-6 and 1-2.
Earl posted a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Elyse Underwood in the sixth singles spot to earn the win. Her last three wins have all been in straight sets.
For the year she has improved to 6-3 overall and remains perfect in the OAC at 2-0. Earl has been playing solid as of last as four of her six wins have come within her last five outings.
Heidelberg will look to bounce back into the win column when it hosts Wilmington College April 10 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
