Hilton Head, S.C. – March 16, 2011 – The Heidelberg University women’s tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Edgewood College in Hilton Head, S.C. during its Spring Break trip. The setback drops Heidelberg to 1-5 overall, while Edgewood improves to 13-6.
Posting the lone win for the Berg was the duo of Deidre Potter (Chillicothe, Ohio / Union Scioto) and Kayla Gerber (Clyde, Ohio / Clyde). Potter and Gerber teamed up for an 8-6 victory at first doubles.
Following a day off, Heidelberg will close out action in Hilton Head on Friday, March 18 when it takes on Spring Arbor at 8:00 a.m.
