TIFFIN, Ohio—Ohio Northern University swept an Ohio Athletic Conference match from the Heidelberg University women’s tennis team, 9-0, today in Tiffin, Ohio. The loss was the first in OAC play for the Berg.
Freshman Katie Strahan (West Chester/Lakota East) posted the strongest resistance in singles play, forcing a tie breaker in the first set and winning eight games.
Heidelberg falls to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in the OAC, while ONU improves to 14-4 overall and 4-0 in the OAC.
The Berg returns to the courts Wednesday to face Ohio Northern University in an OAC match in Tiffin.
