Women’s Tennis to Host Marietta in OAC Tilt

TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University women’s tennis team will host Marietta College in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Saturday in Tiffin, Ohio. The match is slated for 1 p.m.

Heidelberg (4-6, 2-1 OAC) is coming off a 9-0 loss Wednesday to Ohio Northern University.

Freshman Katie Strahan (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota East) (6-4, 2-1) has led singles competition through 10 matches, while the tandem of senior Kayla Gerber (Clyde) and sophomore Deidre Potter (Chillicothe) (6-4, 2-1 OAC) has anchored doubles action.

Marietta (0-7, 0-3 OAC) opened the season with seven straight losses, including a 6-3 loss Wednesday to Muskingum University in its last match.

Cate Gisser (4-3, 1-2 OAC) leads singles action, while Jessica Penny and Natalie Turner (3-2, 0-1 OAC) have posted the Pioneers’ best doubles record.

Following Saturday’s match, Heidelberg will face Baldwin-Wallace College on Tuesday in Berea.
