Heidelberg Falls to Wilmington
In a close 5-4 match, the Heidelberg College women’s tennis team fell to Wilmington College, bringing the Berg’s record to 2-5 on the year, 0-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Quakers stand at 6-4 for the season, 2-3 in league competition.
Winning for Heidelberg Amanda Hanning (Galion, Ohio / Galion) at both first singles (6-0, 6-3 and first doubles (8-2) along with partner Morgan Harrigan (Urbana, Ohio / Urbana). Elizbeth Kurtzman (Mansfield, Ohio / Shelby) also received two victories on the day at fourth singles (6-4, 6-0) and second doubles (9-8, 7-4), where she partnered with Emily Naugle (Shelby, Ohio / Shelby).
The women return to the court on Monday, April 7, at home against Mount Union. Play is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
