ONU Tops The Berg in Women's Tennis

The duo of Amanda Hanning (Galion, Ohio / Galion) and Morgan Harrigan (Urbana, Ohio / Urbana) started the Heidelberg College women’s tennis team out on a high note in an Ohio Athletic Conference match with Ohio Northern University with an 8-5 win at first doubles, but it was not enough, as the Berg fell 8-1 in the end.

Ohio Northern answered with wins at second and third doubles by scores of 8-5 and 8-4 before sweeping singles action.

For the year Heidelberg stands at 2-7 overall and 0-4 in league action, while Ohio Northern is 16-4 and 6-0 against OAC foes. The Berg returns to action tomorrow when it travels to Baldwin-Wallace for a 3:30 p.m. match. Heidelberg’s match with the Yellow Jackets was originally scheduled for March 26, but was postponed due to the weather.
