Naugle and Kurtzman Team Up for a Win

Emily Naugle (Shelby, Ohio / Shelby) and Elizabeth Kurtzman (Mansfield, Ohio / Shelby) teamed up at second doubles to produce Heidelberg College’s lone win of the day against Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Capital University in women’s tennis competition. The pair defeated Erin Gilliam and Robin Burnett 9-7 for the win. Heidelberg lost the match overall 8-1.

In fourth singles, Naugle narrowly missed making it two victories for the day. She fell to Capital’s Jamie Swefel 7-5, 7-5.

Heidelberg returns to action on Tuesday, April 15, at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. Play is set to begin at 3:20 p.m.
