ONU Defeats Berg in OAC Match

The Heidelberg University’s women’s tennis team dropped a loss today to Ohio Northern 9-0. The loss brings the Berg to a 2-4 record while advancing ONU to a 14-5 record.
 
The Polar Bears took a commanding lead as they swept through all three doubles matches with wins to hold the early advantage.
 
At fifth singles Berg’s Morgan Harrigan (Urbana, Ohio / Urbana) fought to force a third set tiebreaker. Harrigan took the first set 6-2 but was answered back by a 6-2 in the second set and a 10-5 tiebreaker by ONU’s Katie Gibbs. ONU went on to take the wins in all six singles matches for the night.
 
The Berg returns for play with a rescheduled match at John Carroll University April 17 at 3:30 p.m. Also, Saturday April 18 at Muskingum College with play slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
