Records Fall at Kent State Tune-Up

School records fell as the Heidelberg College women’s track team raced across the finish line at the Kent State Tune-up. Judy Bataille (Felicity, Ohio / Felicity-Franklin) started things off by breaking her own record in the 200-meter dash for the second time this season. She completed the race in a time of 25.73 and nabbed fifth place.

Bataille also earned sixth place in the 60-meter dash (7.79) and went onto join teammates Angela Zellner (Twinsburg. Ohio / Twinsburg), Catie Evers (Burkettsville, Ohio / St. Henry), and Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel) in the 4x400-meter relay which also broke the school record in a time of 4:02.65.
 
Topping her own school record in the mile run was Erica Tenwalde (Ada, Ohio / Lima Shawnee). Tenwalde crossed the finish line in 5:26.21.

Paige Reiman (Defiance, Ohio / Tinora) took third in the 500-meter dash for the Berg in a time of 1:32.50, and was followed by Alexis Goodman (Tiffin, Ohio / Columbian) in fourth (1:34.00) and Ashley Smith (Smithville, Ohio / Smithville) in fifth (1:38.74).

Heidelberg races next at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet on Saturday, March 1 in Alliance, Ohio.
