Bataille Receives Fourth OAC Runner of the Week Honor
It is the fourth of the season and second-straight Ohio Athletic Conference Runner of the Week honor for Heidelberg College sprinter Judy Bataille (Felicity, Ohio / Felicity-Franklin).
After provisionally qualifying for nationals two weeks ago with a nation-leading and school record-breaking time of 7.12 in the 55-meter dash, Bataille once again broke records in the 200-meter dash this past weekend at the Kent State Tune-up. She completed the race in a time of 25.73 and then went on to join teammates Angela Zellner (Twinsburg. Ohio / Twinsburg), Catie Evers (Burkettsville, Ohio / St. Henry), and Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel) in the 4x400-meter relay which also broke the school record in a time of 4:02.65. All in all, Bataille took home three top-10 finishes at the Division I meet; fifth in the 200-meter, sixth in the 60-meter (7.79), and eighth in the 4x400.
Heidelberg races next at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet on Saturday, March 1 in Alliance, Ohio.
