'Berg Participates at All-Ohio

Delaware, Ohio – April 17, 2010 – The Heidelberg University women’ s track and field team, under the guidance of second-year head coach Keith Roberts Jr., finished ninth at the 2010 All-Ohio Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
 
The top-three finishes were Baldwin-Wallace College (103), Marietta College (89.50), and Capital University (86).

Earning points for the Berg in three events was freshman Marian Bevington (Celina, Ohio / Parkway). Bevington took second in the long jump with a leap of 17-03.50, while tying for second in the high jump with a 5-02.25 mark. She also finished third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.23

Senior Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel) took home third place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 59.05, while crossing the finish line in seventh in the 200 meter dash in a time of 26.62.

Also earning points for the Berg was junior Alexis Goodman (Tiffin, Ohio / Columbian). Goodman finished fifth in the 100 meter dash in the time of 12.85.  

Making impact in the field events was sophomore Aaliyah VanLeer (Cleveland Heights, Ohio / Cleveland Heights). VanLeer took second in shot put with a throw of 38-09.75.   

Heidelberg is back in action starting Thursday April 22 for the Gina Relays.
