Austintown, Ohio – April 18, 2011 – Senior sprinter Alexis Goodman (Tiffin, Ohio / Columbian), a member of the Heidelberg University women’s track and field teams, was tabbed OAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row. It is her second conference honor of her career.
Goodman paced Heidelberg to a sixth place finish at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday. She earned two individual championships. Goodman crossed the finish line in 13.02 in the 100-meter dash, followed by clocking in at 26.54 in the 200.
Not to be outdone, Goodman teamed up for the 4x100-meter relay championship, finishing at 49.53. Joining Goodman was Marian Bevington (Celina, Ohio / Parkway), Samantha Filliater (Fostoria, Ohio / Lakota) and Jazmine Shaw (Columbus, Ohio / Hamilton Township).
