TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams are prepared to compete Saturday, Feb. 11 at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. The first gun from the Rike Center goes off at noon.
Both teams competed one week ago at the Joe Banks Invitational where the men’s team placed third and the women’s team came away with a sixth-place finish. Junior Josh Lynch (Dayton/Meadowdale) highlighted the action, winning the long jump (20-10.50) and setting a meet record in the triple jump (46-8.25).
Sophomore Sophie Goobic (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) paced the women’s team, winning the 1,000-meter run (3:15.61).
Following Saturday’s All-Ohio Championships, the Berg will have just one more meet—the Ohio State University Tune Up—on Feb. 18, before the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 24-25.
