Volleyball Posts 2-1 Mark in Texas

Despite a late change in schedule due to Hurricane Ike the Heidelberg College volleyball team played tough against some top-tier competition at the Southwestern Invitational in Georgetown, Texas September 11-12.

The invitational was originally slated to take place on Friday and Saturday, September 12-13 with Heidelberg playing four matches, but due to inclement weather that is expected to pass through town on Saturday, the Southwestern athletic department altered the schedule.

The Pirates won in three, 25-21, 30-28, 29-27. The Berg bounced back and topped University of Texas at Dallas 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-15) on Friday afternoon before topping No. 14 Austin College 3-1 (19-25, 25-18, 25-19. 25-21).
