‘Berg Adds to its Home-Streak

Tiffin, Ohio – October 3, 2009 – The Heidelberg University volleyball team won its 19th-straight home game match following a 3-0 (30-28, 25-12, 25-15) victory over Muskingum University. The victory extends Heidelberg’s overall record to 17-4, 3-0 in the OAC, while the Muskies fall to 8-9, 0-1 in the OAC.
 
Berg’s attack game was led by Venessa Haase (Miamisburg, Ohio / Miamisburg) with 13 kills. Backing Hassess was Jackie Reinhart (New Reigel, Ohio / New Reigel) and Amanda Atchison (Frankfort, Ohio / Frankfort Adena) with 11 and 10 kills each, respectively.
 
Taking charge on offense was All-American setter Morgan Magers (Green Springs, Ohio / Old Fort). Magers dished out 34 assists, to go along with nine digs and three kills.
 
Defensively, the back row was led by Brittany Donelan (North Olmsted, Ohio / North Olmsted). Donelan had a team-high 19 digs followed Reinhart with 17.
 
Heidelberg will continue their five-match home stand when they host Ohio Northern University, Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m.
