Stoner Health Center
Our on-campus health center allows students the opportunity to shadow our team physicians as they treat both general medical conditions and athletic-related injuries within the Heidelberg community. Every Athletic Training student is required to complete six morning rotations in a specified time period during his/her first year in the ATEP. Students will also work closely with the nursing staff to ensure proper treatment and documentation of the patient's health care. The rotation provides an excellent introduction to the field of general medicine.
Clinical Instructor: Bonnie Shawberry, RN
Tiffin University
Across the river from Heidelberg's campus is Tiffin University, a Division II institution. Upper-level Athletic Training students may be assigned to a clinical rotation working with the Approved Clinical Instructors (ACIs) at TU. Students are exposed to an alternative intercollegiate athletic perspective only a few minutes from their own campus. The ACIs at TU are Heidelberg ATEP graduates; therefore, consistency with the program's educational goals and objectives is assured. The rotation provides a unique opportunity to facilitate Athletic Training students' transition into the working world.

Fabrizio Chiropractic and Rehabilitative Services
Dr. Dominic Fabrizio and his staff provide an excellent allied health setting for students to experience the components of rehabilitation, including physical therapy, massage therapy and chiropractic services. The Fabrizio Clinic offers a very dynamic and cutting-edge approach to rehabilitation. Students also have the opportunity to shadow an ACI at a local high school. Every student must complete twenty clinical experience hours in a physical therapy setting. A rotation at the Fabrizio Clinic is an amazing opportunity for each student to broaden his/her perspective on allied health care.
