A combination of forces will result in two April evenings of song. The Heidelberg University-Community Chorus and the University of Findlay Concert-Chorale will combine forces to present Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” in the composer's arrangement for two pianos and percussion.
Two performances will be held with one in Findlay and one in Tiffin. The first performance will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, in the R.L. Heminger Auditorium at Findlay High School. Admission is free, but tickets are required; seating is limited. Call the UF Box Office at 419-434-5335
The second performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at Columbian High School auditorium, Tiffin. Admission is free but a freewill offering will be taken.
The performances will feature UF voice instructor, Lance Ashmore, baritone, and Heidelberg voice instructor, Carol Dusdieker, soprano, as well as UF staff accompanists Sharon Vaas and Kelly Lewis. The chorus will consist of about 140 singers, and the conducting duties will be shared by UF Choral Director Micheal F. Anders, Ph.D. and the Heidelberg Choral Director Paul Mayhew, Ph.D.
