Heidelberg University School of Music is pleased to present an afternoon concert titled : "The Beguiling Bard: a Shakespeare Festival." This special theme program will take place in the Ohl Concert Hall of Brenneman Music Hall on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
The concert will feature Heidelberg vocal students who will be performing settings of Shakespeare's plays and sonnets. These will be performed in a variety of styles from art songs by Thomas Arne, Roger Quilter, Franz Schubert, Amy Beach to some of our favorite selections from Bernstein's West Side Story and Porter's Kiss Me Kate.
The concert is free and open to the public. There will be a free will offering collected to benefit vocal scholarships for students attend the Heidelberg School of Music.
