Itinerary

  • Saturday March 3rd – Departure from Cleveland
  • Sunday March 4th – Welcome to Ireland
    • 9:30am - Arrive at Dublin Airport. Meet with your coach driver and travel to Dublin City
      Meet with your English speaking guide and enjoy a panoramic tour of Dublin City, discovering the north side of the River Liffey.
    • Visit Trinity College
      Trinity was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth 1st on grounds confiscated from an Augustinian priory and is the oldest University in Ireland. http://www.tcd.ie/
    • Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure
    • Check in to your hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner at hotel
    • Overnight, dinner and full Irish breakfast at your Hotel in Dublin
  • Monday March 5th – Literary Dublin
    • Enjoy some time at leisure in Dublin city this morning.
    • Today enjoy a tour of the city with a literary flavour, with particular emphasis on its Georgian architecture, saluting Oscar Wilde’s modernistic sculpture facing his first home in Merrion Square.
    • Visit the Dublin Writers Museum in Parnell Square, which traces Ireland’s rich heritage of writers and literary figures. http://www.writersmuseum.com/
    • Continue to Sandycove for a visit to the James Joyce Museum in the Martello tower.
      The Martello Tower at Sandycove was built in 1804 by the British Army as part of their defences against a feared Napoleonic invasion.   • Tuesday March 6th – Workshop in Independent Theatre in Ranelagh
    • Working with the VOICE in a voice production workshop
      Including clear diction and voice production and projection perhaps also looking at English RP and Irish dialects - working with Poetry and Prose by Irish Authors.
    • A 2 hour workshop based on a production that you are going to see that evening.
    • This evening attend a performance in a Dublin theatre
    • Overnight, bed and full Irish breakfast at your hotel in Dublin.
  • Wednesday March 7th – Be Irish for a day
    • Travel to County Meath to the Causey Farm (visit is not possible on Sundays and Holidays!)
      Causey farm is a working farm in County Meath, which opens its doors to the visitor and allows the visitor to see, first hand, how farmers earn their living. It is not all work for the visitor and during your visit you will experience how the Irish traditionally enjoy themselves with food, sports, music and dance. There are several activities organised to entertain
      • bread making
      • learn the art of Hurling
      • become an Irish Dancer
      • learn to speak Gaelic or become an expert in handling sheep and sheep dogs.

    • Enjoy a backstage tour of the Abbey Theatre
