Federal Title IV Programs
Pell Grant
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Federal government determines eligibility. $400-$4,310 per year.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Limited to students who are Pell Grant eligible. Awards range from $200-$2,000.
Stafford Loan
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Must be at least half-time. Up to $3,500 for first-year students, $4,500 for second-year and $5,500 for third- and fourth-year students.
Perkins Loan
Need based on FAFSA analysis. First-year students and sophomores receive priority. Amount borrowed up to $2,000 per year.
Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student (Plus)
Parent of a dependent undergraduate student. Must have good credit. Up to the cost of education minus financial aid.
College Work Study
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Minimum wage paid monthly.
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Must be Pell eligible, a U.S. citizen and complete a rigorous high school course of study. $750 first-year award; Second-year students must meet same requirements and have college GPA of 3.0 or better. Second year amount is $1,300.
National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART)
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Must be Pell eligible, U.S. citizen, pursue an eligible major, 3.0 GPA and full-time. $4,000 for each of the third and fourth years of an academic program.

Ohio Choice Grant
Ohio resident attending a private college as a first-time, full-time student, after July 1, 1984. $660 per year. Amounts vary yearly.
Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG)
Ohio resident with EFC less than $2,190. FAFSA must be filed by October 1, 2007. Award amounts range from $600-$4,992.
Ohio Academic Scholarship
Merit-based award made to one outstanding academic student per chartered Ohio high school. Amount awarded $2,205 per year.
Ohio Instructional Grant (OIG)
Only awarded to students who began college prior to 2006-07. Ohio residents who demonstrate high needs as determined by the FAFSA. FAFSA must be filed by October 1 of the current academic year. Awards range from $444 to $5,466.
War Orphan Scholarship
Children of deceased or severely disabled Ohio Veterans who served during period of war or declared conflict. Amount $5,100 per year.
